All on 4 Treatment

A New Approach to Replacing a Full Arch of Teeth

For patients who have lost most or all of their teeth, or whose remaining teeth are no longer suitable for long-term preservation, full-arch dental implants can provide a stable and functional alternative to traditional dentures.

All-on-4 is a full-arch implant treatment concept that uses four strategically positioned dental implants to support a complete set of replacement teeth. By carefully positioning the implants, treatment may sometimes be possible even when there has been significant bone loss, potentially reducing the need for extensive bone grafting.

All-on-X is a broader concept in which a full arch of replacement teeth is supported by a number of strategically placed dental implants. Depending on the patient’s individual anatomy, bone availability, bite, and treatment requirements, this may involve four, five, six or more implants.

Who May Benefit?

Full-arch implant treatment may be considered for patients who have:

Every patient is different. A comprehensive clinical assessment, appropriate imaging and treatment planning are essential to determine whether All-on-4, All-on-X or another treatment option is most suitable.

Designed for Function, Stability and Confidence

Unlike conventional removable dentures, implant-supported teeth are anchored to dental implants placed within the jaw. This can provide improved stability and chewing function while helping patients feel more confident when eating, speaking and smiling.

Treatment may involve the removal of remaining teeth, implant placement and the provision of temporary teeth, followed by a carefully designed final prosthesis once healing and integration of the implants have occurred.
